Everyone must do something to contribute to business development efforts. But there is no denying that some are more gifted to do this work. Some will be on the front line, face-to-face with the prospective client or customer, but that does not mean there is nothing for other team members to do supporting growth efforts. I believe in devoting the most firm resources to those with the greatest potential AND the drive to do what needs to be done, even if it means work which is not always fun. Business development, when done well, is inconvenient, time-consuming, hard work...and well worth the effort.
