I love public speaking and have done a lot of it. One of the great joys in my service life was to spend a number of years training the speakers for an organization known as the Indianapolis Great Banquet. My life story, including the financial catastrophe of 2008 and my fight to survive, provides a convenient foundation to encourage teams that they can do what needs to be done, even when facing great obstacles and adversity. Favorite topics for speaking include:
Setting goals and pursuing potential instead of just getting by.
Rising above adversity and how to persevere, even during long periods of difficulty.
Making plans, as a team, to commit to building the business together, seeing the vision, seeing how it is for the good of all, including the customer/client.
The basics of sales, business development and relationship management, and why everyone has a role to play (never leave your home without your business cards!)
